Team & Client Recommendations

“Shivani is the kind of person you really want to have on your team. She provides novel and elegant design solutions and has a positive attitude. During her internship with my firm she was an important team member on the production of a schematic design for a 15 acre luxury residential development. She brings a bright and friendly spirit to the studio.”

Happy Monday! Our first #MemberMonday is Shivani Bhalla. You can view projects she has worked on and some beautiful photos she has taken! . "My fascination with the creation process has been a strong factor for my affinity towards a higher education in the field. I completed myBachelor of Architecture program in India and then pursued my graduate studies at the Rhode Island School of Design on the east coast. As part of the Masters program, we travelled to Denmark and Scandinavia which greatly influenced me and my design ideology. After graduation, I gained work experience as an Architectural Designer & Project Manager in Washington DC, Boston and New Delhi. Exploring different facets of Architecture in the US & India has greatly contributed to my experience in the profession. Presently living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area. I graduated in 2010 with my Bachelor of Architecture in India and started working immediately after that. After working for a while I took a year to pursue my Masters degree and then went right back to work! So about 7+ years of work experience in total out of which I have been working in Berkeley for 2.5 years as a Senior Project Manager." We asked what Shivani enjoys about being an AIA member: "Networking with people in the field and the sense of community- When I moved to the bay area 3 years ago I did not know anyone but the AIA community was such a great institution to be associated with" and "Environment of learning- I especially enjoy the events and talks which help spread such a wealth of information. Having attended many myself, it is always a great feeling to see familiar faces and also make new connections at the events." . Thanks Shivani for being an #aiaebmember !
